당신과 지구의 안녕
<산책가>는 눈에 보이지 않는 것을 표현해 보겠다는 야심으로 시작했다. 그러다 시각이 아닌 감각으로 세상을 지각하는 이들과 조우했다. <도시>는 여러 겹의 구조물과 의상을 투시해 맨몸의 사람들이 점유한 공간을 그렸다. 알알이 들어찬 점들은 철근과 콘크리트 없이도 고층 빌딩과 길쭉한 지하철의 윤곽을 이룬다. 두 사람은 가끔씩 낮의 피로를 보상하는 밤의 휴식 시퀀스를 떠올린다. 캠퍼스 커플 김영근과 김예영은 더 오래 더 자주 만나려고 작업을 같이 했다. 2010년 졸업 후에는 스튜디오 요그 간판을 걸고 텐트영화제, 큐알코드영화제를 열었다. 즐거운 피크닉 같은 이동성, 휴대성을 살린 참신한 아이디어를 반기는 곳이 많았다. 2013년엔 결혼을 하고 550일간의 세계일주를 떠났다. 여행 이야기는 웹툰으로 풀었다. 그중 한 꼭지가 <페루자>였다. 외딴 마을 여행자 숙소에서 실질적인 가장 역할을 하던 소녀는 요그에게, 그리고 <페루자>를 본 사람들에게 영감을 주는 존재가 된다. 2018년 잠망경과 잠수함의 창으로 보여준 <Theory of Nothing>에는 예술가의 삶에 대한 고뇌가 담겨있다. 어느 날 어린 환경 운동가들에게 감명을 받아 <모하나TV>를 개국했다. 요그의 미래는 버추얼 캐릭터다. #키워드는 모두의 평안을 바라는 #동물 #음악 #잠 이다.
Peace in Your Heart and on the Earth
The short animation Shall We Take a Walk? began with the desire to express things that can’t be seen. It led the creators to meet people who experience the world through their sense of touch rather than vision. In the animation City, the buildings and clothing are made transparent so that the urban space is occupied only by the bare bodies of people. By removing the layers of steel and concrete, the crowded human figures are all that remain to construct scenes full of skyscrapers and winding subway trains. The packed cityscape is interspersed with scenes of rest after a long, hard day of work. The creative duo behind these films, KIM Young-geun and KIM Ye-young, were a campus couple. They began their creative journey together to deepen their relationship. After graduating from university in 2010, they founded the animation studio YOG. Together, they launched numerous projects including the Tent Film Festival and the QRcode Film Festival. Their fresh and original style of presentation, boasting mobility and portability, was invited to numerous spaces. Following their wedding in 2013, they pair embarked on a 550-day-long trip around the world. Their travels were shared in their webtoon. An important highlight of their trip can be seen in the short film Feruza. In a guesthouse in a remote village, a young girl who was the breadwinner of her family made a deep impression on the directors of Studio YOG and the viewers of Feruza. In 2018, Studio YOG’s film Theory of Nothing showed an artist’s tortured life through a periscope and the window of a submarine. And the work of young environmental activists inspired the directors of YOG to create the YouTube channel Mohana TV. Studio YOG looks to its future in virtual characters and harmonious themes such as #animals, #music, and #sleep.

The newlyweds Mr. and Mrs. Kim were traveling around the world on their honeymoon when they met Feruza, a 17-year-old girl living in a small remote village in the Ethiopian desert.

XYZ 노트를 이용하여 스튜디오 YOG와 일렉트로니카 뮤지션 LOBOTOMY가 협업으로 제작했다. 전자음악을 만들 때 사용하는 가상악기(VSTI)의 각각의 음을 다양한 형태로 상상하여 만든 애니메이션이다.
This animation was co-produced by animation studio YOG and electronic musician LOBOTOMY using an XYZ notepad. Each creator imagined and made each tune with a virtual musical instrument (VSTI), which they used to make electronic music.
