작업의 궤적
그림을 그린다. 손님이 가득한 카페, 모두 잠든 아파트, 행인이 스치는 거리, 홀로 작업하는 방에서. 2000년대 초반부터 2010년 초반까지 김준은 사람과 공간이 겹치거나 떨어진 순간들을 엮어, 느리게 흐르는 짧은 시간을 한 묶음씩, 애니메이션으로 만들었다. 2011년부터 반려견 마루와 살게 되었다. 유기동물 입양 캠페인 <사지 마세요, 입양하세요>(2012)를 끝으로 트랙을 옮겨 웹툰으로 마루와 함께하는 일상과 세계 문학 에세이를 연재하고 책으로 펴냈다. 웹툰 작가이자 일러스트레이터로 작업 반경을 키우고 애니메이션으로 돌아왔다. <마루가 나에게 왔다>와 <안과 밖>은 이제까지의 작업이 합류하는 지점이다. 길고 천천히 순환하는 궤도는 짙은 자취를 남긴다.
A trajectory of an artist
She draws pictures in a crowded cafe, in a slumbering apartment, on a street full of passersby, in a room where she works all alone. From early 2000 to early 2010, KIM Joon made animations that drew connections between people and spaces, in the slow, brief moments when they are brought together or separated. Since 2011, she has lived with her dog, Maru. Her 2012 film Please Adopt, Don’t Buy was part of a campaign to promote animal adoption. It was her last animation before she moved on to webtoons. She went on to create a webtoon series about everyday life with Maru and an essay book. After exploring webtoons and illustrations that expanded her body of work, KIM has now returned to the field of animation. Her ideas come together in their culmination in the films Maru Came to Me and Inside and Outside. Her path is like a long, slow cycle that leaves a deep, clear trace.
