생명의 모양과 빛깔
멀리 에펠탑 위로 짙은 붉은색 비행기가 떠있다. 프레임 안은 온통 빙빙 도는 프로펠러의 잔상으로 알록달록하다. '블레리오에게 경의를 표하며'(1914)는 송영성에게 색과 형태의 운동성을 각인시켰다. 계속해서 색채론과 조형론을 공부하며 바실리 칸딘스키의 '구성 VIII '(1923)을 분석해 학부 졸업작품 <형태와 색채의 애니메이션>(2009)을 만들었다. <파트 블루>(2010)는 어둠을 가르는 그라데이션의 궤적과 부채처럼 펼쳐지는 색상환으로 파랑을 탐구했다. <QQQ>(2012)의 딱딱한 도형은 뭉툭한 선과 투박한 면으로 성질이 바뀐다. 움트는 생명도 보인다. 졸업 후 만든 첫 작품 <문라이트 그라비티>(2015)에서 초록은 숨 쉬고 빨강은 승천한다. 형태가 엉키고 분화한다. <창조적 진화>(2019)는 추상에서 구상으로, 계획에서 즉흥으로, 스타일과 작업 방식 전환기의 작품이다. <우리들의 2>(2021)는 일대 도약이다. 절제된 팔레트에 유동적인 선으로 표현한 단테의 모노드라마는 너무 강렬해서 제동이 필요했다. <삶의 기쁨 생의 기쁨>은 또 한 번 100년 전 화가를 소환한다. 매끄러운 디지털 작업을 일일이 종이로 옮기며 강도를 조절하고 있다.
Shapes and Colors of Life
In the distance, a red plane flies over the Eiffel Tower. The frame spins and spins like a colorful blur of a propeller. When Song Yungsung saw Robert Delauny's painting “Homage to Blériot” (1914), the movement of color and form became etched in his mind. As he continued to study the principles of color and form, he analyzed Wassily Kandinsky's “Composition VIII” (1923), culminating in his graduation film Animation of Shapes and Colors (2009). Part Blue (2010) is an exploration of the color blue through gradations cutting through darkness and a color wheel that unfolds like a fan. QQQ (2012) shows hard shapes transforming into to blunt lines and rough surfaces, as well as new sprouts of life. In Moonlight Gravity (2015), the first work made after graduation, the green breathes and the red rises. Forms become entangled and then separate. Creative Evolution (2019) is a work of transition in style and methodology, from the abstract to the figurative, from being planned to improvised. Our 2 (2021) is a major leap forward. Dante's monodrama, expressed with a restrained palette and fluid lines, was intense to the point of needing a break. Joy of Life once again conjures an artist from a century ago. The smooth digital work is transferred to paper piece by piece with a controlled intensity.

이 영화는 단테 서거 700주년 기념 기획으로서, 『신생』으로부터 『신곡』의 지옥편, 연옥편, 천국편으로 이어지는 단테와 베아트리체의 재회 스토리를 재해석해서 만들어졌다.
To commemorate the 700th anniversary of Dante's death, the film reinterpreted the story of Dante and Beatrice's reunion, which followed from “La Vita Nuova” to the three parts of the Divine Comedy (hell, purgatory, and heaven).

Three Qs and more make QQQ. QQQ transform, spinning, rolling, swinging, turning and traveling. GREEN Q meets PINK Q. They repeat the meeting and parting. And GREEN Q and PINK Q belong to the QQQ together.

검은 침묵 속 하얀 점 하나.하얀 점, 선을 탄생 시킨다. 그리고 선, 파란 원 모양을 그려낸다. 파란 원, 앞을 향해 나아가고 선이 된다. 파란 선, 다른 선과 만나고 또 만난다. 서로 섞이며 커지고 새로워진다. 되풀이 되고 되풀이 된다.
There is one white spot in the silent, black space. The spot gives birth to a line. The line forms a blue circle. The circle moves towards the front, drawing a line. The blue line meets the other lines. They combine and transform into a new shape. This process repeats again and again.
