놀이터의 앨리스
시동이 걸리고 10초, 자동차가 충돌하고 좌석 뒷 유리에 부딪힌 여자의 머리에서 피가 흐른다. 아이의 시선으로 시작해 엄마의 시선으로 끝나는 <VIEW>는 비명과 울음이 음산한 사운드와 불협화음을 이루며 불안한 감정을 시각화한다. 이나윤의 홍익대 졸업작품이다. 졸업 후 칼아츠 실험애니메이션과에 들어간 이나윤은 드로잉 애니메이션 <INSECT BITE>, <TRI▲NGLE>과 16mm 필름에 현상한 미완의 악몽 시리즈 <HORSE>, <UNICORN>, <SISYPHUS>를 만들었다. 2013년에 촬영을 마친 놀이터 프로젝트는 완성까지 여러 해 의지를 모아야 했다. 2020년 10월, 한국에서 연 첫 개인전에서 두 개의 영상이 짝을 이룬 <심연의 놀이터>를 공개했다. 전시장 한 구석에는 <VIEW>를 배치했다. 2020년 12월 전시에서는 스톱모션 버전 놀이터를 공개한다. 깜깜한 밤의 놀이터는 감정이 요동치는 무의식의 세계. 기억과 꿈은 시공간을 초월한다. 이 곳에서 이나윤은 영원할 장면을 포착한다.
Alice in Her Playground
Ten seconds after starting the engine, the car crashes. The woman’s head hits the rear window and starts to bleed. View begins with the child's perspective and ends with the mother’s point of view. The screaming and crying create dissonance with the gloomy sounds, creating a visual expression of anxious emotions. View was Grace Nayoon RHEE’s graduation film at Hongik University. After graduating from Hongik, RHEE entered the experimental animation program at CalArts and created the hand-drawn animations Insect Bite and Triangle. She also made an unfinished series about nightmares in 16-mm film including Horse, Unicorn, and Sisyphus. The Playground was shot in 2013 but was not completed at the time. It was later finished as a pair of films. The first to be released was the live-action companion film The Playground of Haunted Memories, which was shown in October 2020 at RHEE’s first solo exhibition in Korea where her short animation View was also on display. The second is The Playground, a stop-motion animation due to be released in December 2020. These dark playgrounds are part of the subconscious realm where emotions are stirred. It is here that Nayoon RHEE captures scenes that may last eternally, as dreams and memories transcend time and space.

소녀의 놀이터에서 발견 된 소년. 소녀의 리드로 시작 된 놀이는 점차 소년의 놀이로 바뀌며 소녀는 더이상 자신의 놀이터가 이전과 같지 않음을 깨닫는다.
The Playground is an animated short film depicting conflicts arising from a daydreaming girl’s curiosity towards a boy she notices at the playground.

View is both an imaginary story and a real experience of a child who thinks her mommy has left her behind because she doesn’t love her anymore.
